I have been thinking about ways to share stories with you guys without giving you a novel to read. So I am going to try my best to keep it short :) Thanks in advance for bearing through the lengthy ones!
I'm going to begin with travel days!
Travel one started in Tampa, Fl flying to Newark, NJ! This flight was terrible. The winds in NJ were insane and we felt every gust in our little plane. Have you ever been on such a bad flight that you acctually start looking at where the exits on the plane are, and figure out what the quickest way to escape is?!...just me? well that was happening, while Alana gripped my arm and both our hands were sweating profusely! That flight will go on the list I will never forget. When we got to Newark, it was dinner time so we grabbed some airport grub to kill time before we met up with one of our other team members! After we prayed for our meal, an Indian man sitting next to us turned to us and said "Amen." We then conversed about his favorite book in the bible, and how is family isn't believers. He told us that he is on the narrow road to heaven! He was such a joyful man, and loved his Savior!! It was such a wonderful way to begin a mission trip. After dinner, we met up with our team member Colbi. All of us instantly connected, she is so sweet and it was wonderful traveling with her! We boarded our very itty bitty flight to London. Typically overnight/international flights are huge, so I really talked that up to Colbi and ALana, however, I felt the tension when we walked on a very small plane that we were going to be sitting on for 9 hrs :/.
Travel day 2?
Alana and I giggled alot during traveling because we never knew what day we were in. We kept asking eachother, What is tomorrow?!?..time zones
Im leaving you off here, because our Kenya day 1 was filled with so much!!
Thanks for reading!!
