First Blog!

hello!
I'm really excited to start blogging to ya'll! Most of you are probably wondering why I just randomly wanted to start blogging! Well... soon enough my sister and I will be headed to KENYA! Although I don't have some crazy stories right now about elephants chasing us, or our daily African activities I hope that this blog will still be exciting for you to read as the time draws near for our Mission trip! However, my main reason for beginning this blog so early is to share with you about how God is so extremely existent in leading, and providing fully on getting my sister and I to Africa this summer for His glory! The Lord has been so evident during this time of waiting, and preparing; it completely fills me with joy.

Let me share with you a little bit about this blog!
The title "Send Me On My Way" is actually from this really silly song! It may or may not be African but I like to think it is ;) One day over Easter break my sister and I were riding back from my grandpas house. Naturally, we were talking about Africa. (Take note: My sister and I, live 2 hours away from each other, and both have busy lives.) WHENEVER we get to talk to each other we EMBRACE the fact that we're going to Africa! We decided to put Pandora on the radio and put it on the African station and this song came on! It's by this band called the Rusted Root. The video is strange. However, the song makes you want to dance just like these guys in it! I will post it at the bottom of this blog for you to enjoy =). We later realized that this song was also in Matilda, and Ice Age so it will sound familiar! Try not to dance to it.....it's impossible!

Although I can only make out a few of the words in the song (there's a lot of mumbling goin' on), I like to relate it to what the Lord is doing in my life. He is completely sending me to preach the good news to the people of Kenya! This was not in my plan to go to Kenya, and I never would have thought this would be my first mission trip destination, however, He is sending me...so I trust!

I'm going to leave you hanging on the awesome stories I have to share with you until the next time I post! Your fingers get tired quickly when you become a blogger ;) and I love cliff hangers...so until next time!!
